Hello readers and welcome to the site. I am the Heart & Lung Wellness resident physician at the Center for Natural Medicine, (CNM). As a doctor, I treat a broad range of acute and chronic conditions seen in family practice. I am particularly interested in cardiology and pulmonary medicine. Being one of a few chosen interns to receive year - long training on Dr. Martin Milner’s Heart and Lung Wellness shift, I had the opportunity to gain in-depth experience working with patients suffering from these condition. As a result, I feel I am particularly skilled at managing chronic illnesses.
Tailoring treatment plans for each individual patient’s needs, I use herbal medicine, nutrition, nutritional supplements, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, and lifestyle counseling. My approach is to work as a team with my patients, allowing them the best opportunity for achieving their expectations and health goals.
Experiencing years of personal health issues myself, I eventually sought unconventional methods of healing, during which time I was introduced to naturopathic medicine. My treatments led to dramatic changes in my well-being. This experience along with my passion to help people cemented my commitment to becoming a naturopathic doctor. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology with a minor in biology at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada. I received my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine.
Beyond doctoring, I am extremely passionate about nutrition and physical fitness. I am a Xocai, healthy dark chocolate, distributor. In this role I provide nutritional discussions to the community regarding general wellness and healthy lifestyle education; in addition, I inform people about the science and nutritional validation backing Xocai products. As I mentioned earlier, I am committed to body movement and cardiovascular exercise. I spend time working out, playing sports, hiking, and appreciating nature. Currently I am completing my GYROTONIC(R) body movement apprenticeship at the Seed Center in Portland Oregon.
Harmony in life is of outmost importance to me. I take time to be with friends and family and leave room for quiet meditation. I believe that being the best physician and teacher to my clients and to my patients means I must make personal time and development a priority, therefore time for introspection and personal development is a daily responsibility.
I look forward to learning more about you in the future. Please feel free to email me your thoughts, comments, and questions. And of course, let me know how I can assist you at the Center For Natural Medicine.
